Pineapple tarts

I love pinapple tarts very much. It is delicious yet expensive. So I decided to make my own pineapple tarts.

I went to Sunshine to get all the ingredients needed like the wheat flour, corn flour, custard powder, and pineapple.

The pineapple jam was prepared yesterday. My mum helped me in preparing the pineapple and squeezing out the juice. Then we cooked the pinapple in a pot, added some brown sugar to sweeten it. We also used one cinnamon stick and one anise to flavour the pineapple. I used the brown sugar instead of the caster sugar because I don't want the jam to be too sweet.

I followed one of the recipes to prepare the pastry. However, it is really difficult to form the smooth dough. Finally, I managed to get something out with the help of my mum. Yeah... my mum is the best cook ever! Hats off to you mum!

Here are some pictures of my first ever pineapple tarts. The first picture shows the tarts made at the very beginning. They looked a bit ugly huh?!!

After practising on working with the cookies mould, here is what I got.

The cookies or the pastry is kind of dry. You can see the crack on each of the tarts. I guess I shouldn't have used corn flour since it absorbed water from the dough. Hmm... I think I need to keep practising until I get the right recipe.

Oscar is recovering well

Oscar has been undergoing a series of treatments since his first visit to Dr Gill's vet in late Jan. I decided to change the vet because I was too upset with the irresponsibility of Dr Yxxx!

Frankly speaking, I'm impressed by Gill's medical facilities they have for dogs and cats. They (doctors and assistants) care for dogs and cats just as the owner does and wanted the pets to live a long and happy life.

Oscar was diagnozed with the urine infection and overweight. His weight (6.25kg) was equivalent to the weight of a pug. To control Oscar's weight and the urine composition, we change his diet by feeding him feline prescription diet (maintenance) by Hills Science Plan. He has also been given with lots of tablets to help improving the urine composition.

Oscar is now fully recovered from the urine infection. However, there is still a minor blood cell in his kidney that we need to take an extra precaution of. Most likely we will have Oscar to go for the blood test. Anyway, I wish that he will pass this week's urine test so that he can get rid of taking the tablet soon.

He looks fat, isn't he? But he managed to lose some weight (the current weight is about 5.5kg) after taking the new diet.

遇见旧朋友的感觉真好

在天盛的婚礼上，遇见了好久没见的旧朋友，虽然与他们并不太熟悉（他们是天盛的兄弟），可是还是非常的兴奋。数一数。。。 都该有七八年没见了吧！当然不会错过与他们和照的机会；）（把他们说得像是名人似的， 呵呵。。。）

下面的照片是在我十八岁的生日小派对里拍摄的， 也就是九年前的我们。。。 感觉好土哦！:P

我还遇见了从没联络的小学同学。我曾在Ｆ６的补习班里遇见他，可是我们从来没打过招呼（我也太坦白了吧，哈哈）。

我又回到“糊涂的猫迷”了! Yay!

该有一段日子我没有在这儿涂涂写写了。。。 几个星期前，心情有些郁闷，有少许的低落。。。 结果就把blog给搁在一旁。

昨天在庾澄庆的百万大歌星节目里，听到了这首歌 - 一个像夏天一个像秋天。我并不是范范的忠实歌迷，可是我还是超爱这首歌。在听这首歌的当儿，总感觉自己好像年轻了起来！:)

Creative work done by my colleague

I have been away from my cubicle for more than a month. When I got back to my cubicle last week, I saw my teddy bears were queueing up on the cubicle wall.

Jim Poh said I have been away for so long, my bears needed some company. And Edward's Pooh wanted to join the choo choo train. Sounds funny huh?

观音竹开花了

我家后院的观音竹终于开花了！很神奇吧！哈哈，我一开始也以为这是件值得大惊小怪的事。上网随便查了一番， 才发现这一点也不神奇！不过，我妈却感到非常的骄傲，有说不出的满足感。原因是这已是第二年家里的观音竹开花了。 她老人家可是花了十天用心的等待花开的结果呢！
